Climate Change Adaptation and mitigation
While mitigation and adaptation are discussed as separate strategies, they are deeply interconnected. We ensure that our effective mitigation efforts reduce the severity of future climate impacts, making adaptation easier and less costly. Where it is beyond our mitigation, successful adaptation measures used buy time for mitigation efforts to take effect and reduce the long-term risks of climate change.
